Hanne and Søren Asby will move to Hvide Sande permanently in three years
In three years Hanne and Søren will retire and sell their house in Vejle. They can hardly wait and they visit their house in Hvide Sande almost every weekend. They took over the house in 2006 and have now finished rebuilding it.
- We love coming here and there is no doubt in my mind that this is where we will live when we retire from our jobs in Vejle, Hanne Asby says. She works at an office in a high school and Søren Asby runs his own business.
They are both originally from Vendsyssel. That, however, was a bit too far they agreed, and so in 2005 they began to look for a house “somewhere” on the west coast, from Hanstholm in the North to Blåvand in the south. They ended up choosing Hvide Sande, but now they find themselves in a bit of a positive dilemma; originally they thought that the North Sea was what attracted them. But since then they have grown so fond of the Ringkjøbing Fjord that they have decided to buy a wonderful section in Nr. Sande where they plan to build a house. This leaves them with three years to decide whether it is the fjord or the ocean that attract them the most…
- Time will tell whether it is going to be the one or the other. Regardless of what we decide, both places encompass the things we love about Hvide Sande - the nature, the light, the calm and relaxing life. And also, we love being around the wonderful Western Jutlanders who live out here. They are incredibly obliging, friendly and honest people, say Hanne and Søren.
