Located in wonderful heather landscape and close to golf courses and museums you will find the active parish of Dejbjerg. 6 kilometres from Skjern.

The parish is located in a scenic area of beautiful nature. It’s close to forest and the hilly terrain offers fine possibilities to get a view of the landscape from the top of one of the hills. Close by you find heather-covered moor, which is an excellent place for walking and running. From the town of Dejbjerg there are a number of grounds that have been made ready for building. The grounds offer a view of Ringkøbing Fjord and can be bought at a significantly lower price than such sections in Skjern and Ringkøbing. There is no district heating network in the town, which means that you get a free choice in regard to the type of heating you would like. This is an advantage compared to other local communities where you might be bound by a connection agreement made with an expensive district heating station. There is a well-functioning cooperation with the neighbouring parish of Stauning in regard to schooling and athletics. The school is located in Stauning, ten minutes from Dejbjerg, while the Dejbjerglund Centre in Dejbjerg is the centre of the athletics association’s activities.
Shopping possibilities are found in Skjern and Stauning, both about ten minutes away from Dejbjerg. A third shopping possibility is found five minutes away (4 kilometres) in Lem. Lem is home to lots of workplaces from small to large industrial firms.
Dejbjerg Golf Club is located on the edge of the forest and it attracts golfers from a large area. A culture association named “Dejbjerglund Music and Culture Association” has also been founded. It works with attracting well-known artists to the town, and they have succeeded in bringing artists such as Lis Sørensen, Kristian Lilholt and Shubidua to the town. These concerts are being held in Dejbjerglund Community Centre which is connected to Dejbjerglund Free School.

The Athletics Association offers a broad range of activities such a gymnastics, football, handball, badminton, and gym training. The Hunting Association organizes hunting events that help to create a community for hunters in the area - and there are quite a few. The Parish Association works to strengthen the community of the parish. Flagpoles are put up during festivities, and responsible for getting the Christmas tree ready for the first Sunday of Advent, which has become an annual tradition that even Santa Claus usually finds time to participate in. Aside from this, we work together with the free school on organizing two or three lectures every year. Another part of our work is concerned with general development, for instance in the form of paving streets or improving the towns playground. Lastly, in hope of attracting more newcomers, we also make an effort to spread the word about Dejbjerg, about our fresh air, light and space.
