In Western Jutland We Read Better Than Most
Our Municipality continues to prioritise the schooling of our children. You can read more about this here (link to the page “child care”).
The municipality’s public schools are dynamic and are undergoing continuous change. The number of schools has been adjusted in order to ensure that the quality of the schools’ work lives up to the expectations of both the authorities and the parents. We focus on quality rather than quantity, so that the children receive an education on a high academic level and leave the primary and lower secondary school as pupils who are ready to explore all of life’s opportunities - academically, creatively and socially.
The academic part of the education can be documented by the so-called PISA-assessments which are conducted within the OECD-countries but also used by a number of countries outside of this union. Among other things, these assessments have shown that children in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality read better than the children of most other municipalities!
Apart from the range of municipal public schools and the high school, Ringkøbing is also home to a number of freeschools.
When the children leave primary and lower secondary school, they can continue their education at one of Ringkøbing’s commercial schools, high schools, boarding schools, folk high schools, adult education institutions, production schools, etc. (den paragraph her kan jeg altså ikke se på hjemmesiden under “skoler”)
